Author of my Heart

Dear Heavenly Father,
You are so infinitely great!
You never cease to astound me with Your provision!
Though I see only a few moments in time,
You have prepared my entire life, on through eternity.
I cannot begin to express my love and gratitude.

I walk though a doorway into the darkness,
But You flood the porch with light and call me back inside.
I wander into mediocrity, but You draw me back into the dream You have for me.
I dream of good enough, but You see only the best!
How can I begin to appreciate the good only You could cause in my life!

You fill my life with blessings, walking and talking,
Breathing examples of lives filled with You.
I cling to Your promises, for none are better!
The future You've prepared for me is tailor-made!

When I drift from passion, flickering,
Leaking the fuel burning within me for You,
You mend my drips and send a fiery spark to light me again.

I'm on fire for You once again, burning, blazing,
Spreading like flames among the brambles.

I am a light, strong and radiant, burning only for Your glory.
